We are from Lisse. A Famous village in Zuid-Holland. Known for the Keukenhof castle, yearly flower exhibition and the bulb fields.
Hans was born on 27th of December 1961 in Leiden. After high school (Fioretti College Lisse) he went to study Engineering (HTS Haarlem).
Louise was born on the 6th of October 1964 in Lisse. She went to The Rijnlands Lyceum (high school) in Sassenheim and after that she did Library Academy in The Hague. In the evenings she took Art at the Vrije Academie Sassenheim for 8 years. Our favourite sport was swimming (and still is). We met eachother at the swimming club, we started dating in 1980.
We got our first rental apartment in Lisse in 1985. After Military Service Hans started his career with Shell. Louise worked at different places finally to end up with Heineken. After five years Hans was transferred to Moerdijk. We moved to Barendrecht. Louise went to work in Greece half a year. After Moerdijk Hans was transferred to the Shell training centre in Noordwijkerhout and we moved back to Lisse.
Louise started a study Psychology at the Open University and got a job at Vrumona, Heineken's soft drink factory at the HR department.
Not for long, as then Hans' international Career started with a posting to Thailand. Then came Malaysia and then Russia. In Russia Louise finally managed to get her masters degree in Labour Psychology. And now we are in Canada.
Almost the whole family together.
