Trips : Rocky Mountains

How good can it get? Three times to the Rocky Mountains in 6 months! First together in Sept 2009, then in October with my mum. Recently we were there for the World Cup X-country skiing to see the Olympic atletes qualifying. And for the frozen waterfalls.
Truly amazing winter scenery. We xc-skied about 130 kms during this trip.
Fantastic to watch the atletes at the 1988 Olympic Nordic Centre in Canmore. And finally I got my picture with a true Canadian Mountie!
In September 2009 Hans and I went to Banff, Jasper and Hudson's Hope. We had beautiful autumn weather. Then after one day at home, I flew to Calgary to pick up my mum to do it again! And then we had 15 cm of snow!
So blue were the glacier lakes. So magical the snow in the morning. Christmas came early!
In October 2009 my Mum came to Canada and I showed her the Rockies. And meet Willem, the beaver. He went with us all the way.
Heaven is on earth, go see it...
